What if I came back to What IF?
Wonder no more. I’m returning to What If Theatre in Denver for a weekend of four masterclasses.
Friday, February 21, 7-10 pm, at 100 Carr St. (ALL OTHER CLASSES ARE HELD AT What If Theatre)
Finding Focus - Are you struggling in the first moments of your scenes because you're unsure how to begin? You might be relying too much on your brain instead of your heart to establish strong foundations. Learn to start your scenes grounded and connected by paying attention to the cues your heart is sending you. Keep it simple; keep it fun!
Saturday, February 22, 10:30 am-1:30 pm
Exposition is Your Friend - Getting bogged down in the “who, what, and where”? How much info is too much info? When have you had enough so you can “start” the fun part of the scene? It’s all in recognizing the feelings exposition offers you. Become aware of the feeling of being present, and you will suddenly know where you go next.
Saturday, February 22, 2:30-5:30 pm
Listening on a New Level - Do you ever recognize yourself falling into familiar patterns? Are your initiations just replays of past ones? Wouldn’t it be exciting to shake things up a bit? This masterclass is designed to help you listen with "new ears," inspiring you to craft engaging scenes you've never explored.
Sunday, February 23, 10:30 am-5:30 pm (with a scheduled one-hour lunch break)
Discover then Follow Your Intention - If you’re struggling to connect with your partner, if your scenes lack dynamics, or if there’s no chemistry between you, it may be because you and your partner haven't identified your intention—the reason behind your scene. Intention acts as the glue that keeps you in flow. This workshop will teach you to discover and develop your scenes using intention.
